Bo Nix

Sit him — the Chargers are tough on quarterbacks and he’s been inefficient and turnover-prone, so this matchup looks like a low-scoring mess for him. Only use him as a long-shot gamble if you want a low-owned pick who can run; otherwise pick someone safer.

Bench him — three turnovers and sloppy play make him a risky pick this week and most analysts agree. Only start him if you have no better option or you really need a player who gains yards on the ground.

Start Bo Nix in Week 1 — he threw a lot and added rushing yards as a rookie, now has a coach who likes to pass and new weapons, and faces a Tennessee defense that let quarterbacks run a lot. He could regress if the line or injuries become a problem, but if you picked him late he’s worth adding for Week 1.

Draft Nix in the middle to late rounds — he can make plays with his legs and now has better pass catchers. He’s still young though, so he could slip back, or the team might pass less if they run more or the defense keeps games low.
