He's getting a lot of routes and targets from the new quarterback, so add him to your bench now. Don't start him yet unless he keeps getting targets, the QB starts throwing deeper, or he has an easy matchup.

He played almost every snap and could get 7–8 looks from the quarterback, so start him if you need a tight end or you’re in a deep league. But he can be hit-or-miss week to week, so if you have a safer option in a shallow league, bench him and watch the matchup and snap reports.

Because Cam Ward and the offense don’t have many other pass-catchers, Okonkwo should get plenty of targets, especially near the goal line. Grab him now and keep him on your bench, only starting him against weak coverage (like Denver) or if your tight end spot is shaky — watch his target numbers and whether the game looks like a passing one.

Draft him in the late rounds. He could be a useful second tight end if he and rookie quarterback Cam Ward click — he’s durable and should get steady catches, but he doesn’t score a lot and people disagree on him.
