He had seven catches on nine targets in Week 2, so he showed he can get a lot of looks. Add or watch him in deep leagues or as a short-term fill-in, but donโt start him in shallow leagues unless you have no better options โ his role could change and the Falcons are a tough matchup.
He caught two passes for 27 yards in Week 1 and the Panthers donโt have many veteran pass catchers, so he could see more targets soon. If your league is deep or you need tight end depth, pick him up as a stash; in shallow leagues just keep him on the bench or injured list and donโt start him yet.
Because Thielen was traded and another tight end is hurt, Sanders should get more throws over the middle of the field. Add him now as a cheap bench piece who could start in good matchups, but know he can be inconsistent and might lose looks if the quarterback throws to other players.
I'd only draft him in the late rounds and treat him as a bench player. He can have big games in Carolina, but past neck issues and more pass-catchers make him too risky to count on every week.
