He gets very few carries and shares the job, so he's not a reliable option. He can pop for a long touchdown sometimes, but in most leagues don't pick him up β only consider him in very deep leagues or as a touchdown-chasing desperation move this week against the Chargers.
He can make big plays and catch passes, but he only played about a quarter of the snaps because heβs sharing the job, so grab him in deeper leagues or as an emergency fill-in and only start him if he clearly gets a lot more playing time or the main back is hurt.
With Austin Ekeler out for the year, McNichols should pick up the pass-catching role and a big chunk of snaps β grab him now in deeper leagues or as insurance. Heβs only a reliable start if heβs getting targets early, since the backfield could be split and his quarterback doesnβt throw to running backs often.
Not a start now β he barely played and draws a tough matchup against Green Bay's run defense. If you have a spare bench spot, add him as cheap insurance in case of injuries; if not, pass and watch for more playing time or injury news.
