Fant is out, so Gesicki should get more snaps and more chances to catch passes near the goal. If you need a tight end, grab him cheap now; if you already have a solid starter, keep him on your bench and see how much he plays in Week 1.
Pick him up as a low-owned bench tight end β he catches short, safe passes that help young or backup quarterbacks. Donβt start him in Week 3 against Minnesota; only play him if you have no better option or an emergency.
He barely got the ball in Week 1 β 4 targets and 18 yards β so sit him this week. Only plug him in if someone ahead of him is injured or the team suddenly starts throwing to him a lot more.
Don't draft him until the late rounds β only pick him as a cheap backup or in very deep leagues. He's got a hamstring issue and more competition for playing time, so his role and health are uncertain unless others fall apart or he stays fully healthy.
