Tucker Kraft

Start Kraft this week — he’s on the field for almost every play and is the team’s main target near the goal, and he already has a touchdown and big yards after catches. He can have a big game or hardly anything because the team doesn’t pass much, so check injury and playing-time updates before you lock your lineup.

Detroit was the league’s best defense against tight ends last year, so this is a tough matchup for Kraft. I'd sit him in regular lineups unless you're mainly hoping for a touchdown or you have no better tight end — and watch Jayden Reed’s injury updates and the pregame reports on who will play and who’s getting passes.

Draft him in the late rounds — cheap pick who could become a top tight end if he starts getting more passes. Coaches like him and he's strong after the catch and near the goal, but others could steal looks and he probably needs touchdowns to score big.

You should definitely think about drafting Kraft, probably in the middle rounds. He's shown he can be a top player at his position before getting hurt, and with other players gone, he could get a lot of passes thrown his way. Even though he's coming back from an injury, which is a little risky, he's a great value at the draft price, making him a solid pick.
