Start Kraft — Reed’s collarbone injury should open up the middle and Kraft’s been getting a lot of catches and looks, and he’s expected to play. His knee and the Browns’ defense could limit him, so grab him if you don’t have a steady tight end and keep a safe backup just in case.
Start Kraft this week — he’s on the field for almost every play and is the team’s main target near the goal, and he already has a touchdown and big yards after catches. He can have a big game or hardly anything because the team doesn’t pass much, so check injury and playing-time updates before you lock your lineup.
Detroit was the league’s best defense against tight ends last year, so this is a tough matchup for Kraft. I'd sit him in regular lineups unless you're mainly hoping for a touchdown or you have no better tight end — and watch Jayden Reed’s injury updates and the pregame reports on who will play and who’s getting passes.
Draft him in the late rounds — cheap pick who could become a top tight end if he starts getting more passes. Coaches like him and he's strong after the catch and near the goal, but others could steal looks and he probably needs touchdowns to score big.
