He had a big game when the Jets were thin at receiver, so he’s worth picking up as a backup who could help if someone gets hurt. Only grab him if you have an open roster spot or need extra receivers in bigger leagues, and don’t start him unless you’re in a very deep league or it’s a short-term fill-in—watch how much he plays, how many passes he gets, and whether other receivers return.
If Mike Evans can’t play or is limited, Tyler Johnson should get a lot more passes and is worth starting most weeks. If Evans plays, Johnson should probably sit, so watch the final injury updates and grab Johnson if he’s available when Evans looks doubtful.
Tough matchup and he’s likely to get very little playing time and few passes, so leave him on the bench this week. Only consider him if your league is huge or you really have no other options.
He got moved up to the active roster, so he now has a real chance to play and see catches. Pick him up for your bench in deep leagues or if you need receiver depth, but only start him if a starter is hurt or reports say he’s getting regular targets — if he gets several targets in a game, feel good about putting him in, especially in leagues that give points for each catch.
